My client was having issues getting responses to his cold emails advertising his services. He eventually realized that starting off with a compliment is a much more effective approach. It shows the lead that you made time to research them before reaching out. He decided to reach out to find the best writer to execute this task.
I got the job and it was the start of a long and fruitful partnership. He sent me a list of leads with their details (LinkedIn, Website, Full Names, Roles, Company Names) and it was my job to research on each individual and craft a unique compliment that applied to them and them only.
